Martha Lawalata
Worship Coordinator
Prior to becoming part of the team at CTK, Martha was a lay minister at IES Jakarta. She started attending that church in 2007 at the invitation of her college sweetheart, who's now her husband, Arya, and it has been her home church ever since. Leaving her hometown in Solo, she has spent 17 years living in the concrete jungle of Jakarta. She is a wife, a daughter, a sister, a teacher, and Friends TV series lover.
Married to Arya in 2013, she's called to devote her life to serving at church and teaching Religious Studies at a school in West Jakarta. They are now and have been enjoying the adventure of parenthood as they raise their daughter, Anaia. It has been such a tremendous season in her life, trying to balance motherhood, a full-time job, and ministry. She always believes that Jesus will help her figure out what to do.
Martha enjoys hanging out with friends and being out and about. She is passionate about singing and worship leading and has been influenced by various contemporary Christian worship artists such as Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation Church, and Kari Jobe.
She is excited to help create an ever-changing worship culture, building the newer generations of worship, and longs to see others worship God with a heart on fire for Him.
