Lycel Arboleda started attending CTK during the lockdown when everything was online. She volunteered for the online Kids Church and was overjoyed when the virtual doors finally opened up and she met the children in person.
As a seasoned educator, Lycel shines in creating meaningful learning experiences for young minds. She has a wealth of experience in education in diverse settings and has enthusiastically embraced both conventional and online teaching methods with equal fervor. Her commitment to innovative educational approaches and holistic education speaks of her ability to inspire both students and educators.
This calling extended beyond conventional teaching; she is deeply involved in children's ministry. The Lord not only guided her to her ministry but also opened new paths along her journey. She trained in puppetry under Panggung Boneka, an Indonesian puppet group dedicated to spreading the gospel to children. This ministry has taken her across Indonesia, working with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Pansophia Indonesia, and supporting local Sunday school teachers through training and resources. These experiences have enriched her passion, allowing her to touch the lives of many through her faith. She now leads a team of educators, Puppet Peers, who love Jesus and are passionate about sharing the gospel through puppetry ministry with young children from different backgrounds.
You will also find Teacher Lycel around CTK with a ukulele in hand, singing praise and worship to God with the children. Her multi-faceted approach to ministry, weaving together education, puppetry, and the joy of music, showcases her dedication to nurturing faith and knowledge in young hearts.
