Arlene Simatupang
Co-Lead Pastor
Arlene Simatupang has been part of the GSJA family even before the dinosaurs roamed the earth (think as far back as Remaja-CWS Kenanga).
She was born and raised in Jakarta and went to college in Orange County, CA (a proud OC girl who loves the beach!). Returning from college, she worked in various companies as a marketing executive. She met Pastor Oyan in 2003 when they ministered together as lay leaders at the Young Adults Fellowship (YAF) of IES Jakarta. They were married in 2005 and are raising two daughters, Tedra and Katriel, together. After becoming a mom, she retreated from working outside the house for a season. Before co-leading Christ the King, she served in different areas, including children’s ministry, couples counseling, and leading the parent’s advisory group at their daughters’ school. Her family thoroughly enjoys the results of her passion for cooking and baking.
She is now in her final year working on getting her Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry (MATM) through distance education from Fuller Seminary.
